For my project I used the Bible verse from 1 Corinthians 13:4.
I love this verse. It defines everything love is.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Be sure to stop and remark at each stop along the way along with the Design Team Page, http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/, and become a follower!!!!! Lisa is offering the complete flower garden to two lucky people who have remarked and became a follower.

Which Disney Princess Am I Blog Hop

Welcome to the Which Disney Princess Am I Blog Hop -

Every girl both old and young alike love to be a "Princess" and we really aren't old to believe we are a princess. Today's hop is going to include our favorite Princess with clues and then the final reveal with our project displaying which Princess we are --- NOW, the question is, how well do you know your Disney Princess?

Clues for my Princess
  1. She lived under the assumed name of Briar Rose.
  2. She never revealed her mothers name.
  3. The Villain's pet bird gets turned to stone.
  4. Her Prince promises to feed his horse oats and carrots, if he agrees to go after the Princess. But after falling into a creek he changes his mind about the carrots.
  5. The Villain was mad because she didn't get invited to the party.
  6. The Princess pricks her finger on a spinning wheel spindle
  7. The Princess has three fairies.
  8. One fairy gives the Princess a flower to protect her.
  9. One of the gifts bestowed on the Princess is Beauty
  10. The Princess was so tired!!!

There will be blog candy of course --- your very own Princess Crown and a Piecing Project of your favorite Princess by remarking on each stop on the royal kingdoms along the way!!!

I made two items, for the blog hop. The first one is an altered box. I needed something to hold my markers, while working on projects. I have so many different types, that I find myself going back and forth looking for the one I want. Usually, I plan out my projects in my head, so I know what I'm going to be using. I like having everything right in front of me. This box reminds me of Beauty all around me. I love flowers and butterflies. I hope you like it!!!

Now, I hope you didn't fall asleep, because I'm going to reveal my Princess!
Sleeping Beauty

And here one of my real life beauties, Katie. This is a layout of my youngest daughter, when she was in 3rd grade. She has grown so much! Now she is in 5th grade and has lost her baby face. I asked her which Princess I should be and she said "Sleeping Beauty, because she has a pretty dress." I thought that was so sweet, because those days are gone. Now it's texting, computers, and friends!!! On the weekends, sometimes she does still sleep with me. I love it!!! I hope you enjoyed my layout!!!

Some day my Prince will come but, I will always have my crown as these princesses have for you along the way:

6X6 Journal I made for a RAK Buddy

Hello scrappy friends!
I've been wanting to share with you the journal I made for Janet Smith, in my RAK group. I had to wait a couple of days to make sure she received it, before posting it. I'm hoping she already has!!!
I went to her likes page and found out that she has 3 grandchildren and she likes owls. I took the Play Date Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up and used that for her journal. I added in the colors; Real Red, So Saffron, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip. Then I used the coordinating stamp sets Funky Four and Forest Friends. Both of these are made from Stampin' Up. The owl on front (also stampin' up) I painted brown with acrylic paint and used crystal effects on the eyes and nose.
I added a personal touch to the journal, by putting tags in 3 sections and writing the names of her grand kids on it. On the front cover, I used my cricut to cut out the word Family and on the last page I added a special pocket for her to add more items. I then bound the whole thing with my Bind it All.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Pamela

Krafty Kat's Mascot

Good morning, everybody!!! TGIF!!! The twin cities are expecting rain today!! I love rain! My daughter is home sick, with wheezing. So I will have a busy day.

Here is the kitty I paper pieced from Lisa's Store. After doing it I realized that I put his feet on upside down. He looks like he is doing ballet. Also, remember Tom and Jerry, and Tom would walk on his toes. That's what he looks like. But I think he turned out cute. All the items I used were from Stampin' Up and you can find the kitty at http://scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/

Have a wonderful Friday,
Pamela
