Learning the Gypsy

Hello my scrappy friends,

For the last 24 hours, I have been learning how to use my new toy, the Gypsy. Unfortunately things expensive items don't come with instructions. I found this wonderful lady on YouTube (channel do4x4) and was able to watch 8 videos. She was awesome!! She explained everything! So tomorrow I will be designing a monkey card and post it on here on Friday.

Here's my story,

It took me a while to decide on what I was going to do for this hop. I decided to flip through my stamp book for ideas. I was looking for a crown, when I came across this stamp. I had forgotten why I purchased it in the first place. When I was a little girl, my father would play his guitar, for us. We would all sit on the floor in front of him, staring up and listening. He would give us all a chance to choose a song. I chose "You are My Sunshine", every time. So I think this stamp is fitting, for this blog hop.

Unity Stamp  - My Sunshine
All other items were from Stampin' Up
Now, you've heard my story let me send you to the next chapter at Miriam's Blog

Thanks for hopping with me!!!

My Dad's The Greatest Blog Hop

Welcome to My Dad's the Greatest Blog Hop. Today we are honoring our Dads, Grand Fathers, Uncles, and Big Brothers... Who ever made a significant, loving mark in your life? Do you remember your father being so big in your eyes, that he could protect you from anything? He was the one who would barbecue or mow the grass. He would go off to work every day and come home tired and still make time to laugh and play. He didn't mind that every Father's Day, he got a tie or slippers. He was our protector!!

Today we have some wonderful, talented women who would like to show that their Dad is the Greatest!! In case you get lost the hop starts at Pamela ~

For my project, I did another digital layout. All my pictures are put away deep in my closet and I wanted to put a picture of my dad on my project. The top picture is of him playing music with spoons. Oh, how I love to hear him play Cajun music! There isn't anything he can't do! His best talent is cooking!! And the bottom on is one with his 4 kids (I'm the youngest in the pic). Missing in this picture is my 2 younger brothers. And of course as you can see, he loves LSU!! I have to say, My dad IS the greatest!!

Here is a picture of my dad, wonderful stepmother, and 3 kids.

Here is a picture of my dad's yummy pralines. He made them for me for my birthday!!

Sticky Note Pad Cover

Good morning my Scrappy Friends!!

Today, I'm sharing a project I made for Crafty and Green. I was her Guest Designer and the theme was to be country related. I made this sticky note pad cover. I've been wanting to do this for months, but I just never got around to doing it.

Here is the recipe:

3 15/16 in. x 5 7/8 in. sticky note pad
Stampin’ Up Designer Series Paper – Spring Showers
2 strips of magnets (to hold it closed)
Stampin’ Up Rub On – Take Note
PRISMACOLOR  Premier colored pencils
Digital image from Scrapbook Stamp Society -Justina & Frankie

Cut 12x12 card stock and designer paper at 12x6. Cover both sides of the card stock, with the designer paper. Score at 4", 4 1/2", 8 1/2", and 9 ". Put red liner tape on the back of your notepad and stick down in the middle. When you put your magnets on, put down one, with the other stuck to it. Take the tape off, then close the book on the top of it. This way the magnets will be straight. I covered the magnets with paper.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
